Learn more about the British Columbia Low Carbon Fuel Standard regulation
The British Columbia Low Carbon Fuel Standard (BC-LCFS) regulation requires wholesale suppliers and importers of transportation fuels to reduce the carbon intensity of fuels they supply to BC, with an overarching goal of a 20% reduction by 2030.
Fuel suppliers, such as refiners or wholesale importers, can meet their carbon reduction obligation by reducing life cycle emissions along the fuel supply chain, blending biofuels or purchasing credits from alternative low carbon fuel suppliers such as electric vehicle (EV) charging station operators.
That’s where your business comes in. Charging station operators in BC may be eligible to earn credits through the BC-LCFS regulation, which can be turned into revenue.
